Middle Eastern Belly Dance with Kalilah!
Immerse yourself in the beauty and mystery of Middle Eastern belly dancing. While building a sense of self-esteem and well-being, you receive a great form of exercise and fun! These classes and workshops are exciting and unique. Come and taste the flavor of this exciting and unique dance style! No prior dance experience is needed.About the instructor Kalilah, Katrina Scott, has been performing Middle Eastern style dance for 27 years and teaching for 18 years. She has traveled extensively, studying with the masters of Middle Eastern dance. Katrina is co-founder, artistic director and primary choreographer of the SWORD and SCARAB dance troupe in Rochester. She teaches Creative Middle Eastern Dance at the University of Rochester, local Community Centers and conducts Lecture/Demonstrations about Middle Eastern culture and dance. Learn the fox trot, waltz, rumba, salsa, swing, cha cha and more!
Social dance is a quality-of-life enhancement. It offers benefits to one�s health, enrichment to your relationship and broadens the social experience. Learning the fundamental skills offered in these classes will enable you to dance at weddings, on cruises and at local venues.
This approach places emphasis on techniques of lead and follow with basic steps in several popular dances�.and having fun while learning!
About the instructor
Jacqueline Murray has been teaching ballroom dance for over forty years. She has taught in Rush Henrietta Continuing Education, Webster Recreation, Valley School of Dance & Shakti Yoga, as well as privately in her own studio in Rochester. Jacquie�s intention is to create a truly workable dance foundation, allowing her students to gain confidence in basic technique and musicality while learning in a light, pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere. Her level II class provides continuing students with the opportunity to expand their repertoire and develop their existing skills.

About the instructor
Deb French is a certified Zumba instructor, who has been dancing most of her life. She has a minor in dance from SUNY Geneseo and an MA in dance from SUNY Brockport. She has studied Modern Dance, Jazz, Ballet, African, Flamenco, Latin and various folk dance styles. She has taught fitness and aerobics classes and teaches at the Valley School of Dance.
